Common Problem:

DTC P0601, P0605

Known issues:

Check Engine On

This type of error does not always show physical failure, but the emission monitors cannot be closed.

In TCM, the vehicle stays in 3rd gear only (safe mode).

Trouble Codes:

P0601 PCM Internal Fault

P0605 TCM ROM Self-Test Failed Conditions

Solution:

Replace and/or rebuild PCM/TCM (Damage to these modules with these symptoms is common)
